Having only called Pennsylvania home for five years, I’ve come to realize just how much this state has to offer, especially when it comes to hidden gems like the Masonic Village Formal Gardens. When I stumbled upon this picturesque spot, I knew immediately it would be the perfect backdrop for Allie & Sean's photo session. As someone who's drawn to elegant architecture and lush gardens, I couldn't have been more thrilled when they agreed to meet there. The Masonic Village exudes a classy charm that perfectly complemented the essence of their love.

As summer settled in, bringing with it its trademark humidity, Brandon and I made our way to the gardens. Although I noticed clouds gathering, I brushed them off, confident in the weather forecast that predicted rain much later in the evening. But in this line of work, you quickly learn to adapt. Sure enough, just over an hour into our session, thunder boomed from the clouds, threatening to cut our shoot short. 

However, I wasn’t about to let a little rain ruin our plans. I had envisioned specific compositions and poses that I knew would capture the intimacy between Allie and Sean against the backdrop of this beautiful location. So, we persisted. And I’m so glad we did. Those extra moments before the squal led to some of the most intimate and heartfelt photographs of the day.

Despite the unexpected weather, this session turned out to be incredibly special. Allie and Sean were not only celebrating their love for each other but also stepping into a new chapter of parenthood. Below, I’ve shared some of our favorite moments from their unforgettable session.
